Explore our majors and other undergraduate programs to find out what you’ll do here and how it’ll prepare you for your career and life. You’ll also learn how you can customize your degree to your goals.
If you’re interested in computer science, make sure you note the difference between the B.S. in Computer Science—which is offered here in the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering—and the B.A. in Computer Science, offered by the College of Arts and Sciences.
Add a SICE major
If you’re a student in a different IU Bloomington school, here’s how to add or switch to a SICE major.
Accelerated master’s programs: earn two degrees in five years
Earn another degree in just one more year of study. Some of our accelerated master’s degrees are open only to undergraduates in certain majors, while others are open to all IU Bloomington undergrads. You’ll become better prepared for your career and more likely to earn a higher starting salary.
Certificates and minors
Any IU Bloomington student can add a SICE certificate or minor. If you’re in a school other than SICE, make sure to get approval from your school’s recorder.
Consider a certificate or minor from another IU school
An outside certificate or minor can give you valuable experience in a non-tech field you like—and could help your resume stand out.
Consult with your SICE advisor, and contact the undergraduate recorder’s office in the other IU school to declare your certificate or minor.
Informatics students, your cognate may already meet all the requirements for an outside minor—so you can earn a minor without taking more classes.
